About me
Sophie May Floral is a floral designer based in Bedfordshire, specialising in wedding and event floristry in a wild, romantic and natural style.
I work across Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties such as Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Huntingdon and Peterborough, Lincolnshire, Suffolk, Essex and I occasionally go further afield as well. I mainly work on my own but have an amazing team of freelancers to help when needed.
The flowers I use are always of the highest quality to give your special day the most luxury feel.
I trained at Shuttleworth college to gain my level 2 and level 3 qualifications in Floristry back in 2017, I then opened my business in 2019. Since then I have worked on developing my own style to what it is today, an abundant and flowing look with flowers in the prettiest of colour palettes.
My favourite things to make has to be the large floral installations that give an amazing impact and just make everyone go "WOW!"
How it works
for our full service wedding florals, all of my designs are bespoke and tailored to the couple or event so I don't have a set price list, everything is priced depending on exactly what it is you would like which makes it very personal. I hold my work to a very high standard so all materials used are of a very high quality.
After receiving your initial contact, I will send over my enquiry form for you to fill in, this is the start of all the paperwork which will all be filed together ready for your wedding, it is important that you fill this in with as much detail as you can so I can really get an idea of the kind of thing you're after but don't worry if you don't know exactly what you would like as I'm more than happy to discuss ideas once I know the vibe you're going for.
Inspiration photos are always super helpful so I can imagine what you're picturing, however I will not copy anyone else's design so it will be similar but in my own style.
Following this, if I have enough information I can send over a quote to give you an idea on pricing, if I need some more information I will send over some questions.
You are also welcome to have a phone call or in person meeting to discuss everything after I have sent over your quote.
After this if you are happy with the quote and would like to book I ask for a non-refundable booking fee to secure your date, this booking fee will be taken off the final total.
I will then be in contact a few months before your wedding to book in a chat to finalise everything, the final payment is due one month before your wedding date. However you are more than welcome to email me anytime if you would like to discuss anything about your flowers like any new ideas you may have, any ideas you'd like from me, any changes you'd like to make, etc.
All that is left after this is for you to relax knowing your wedding flowers are in safe hands and will be created with care as well as attention to detail keeping in mind your overall vision for your special day!
For our ready to go collection, simply contact me through the contact form and I will send over my price list. I have a few set colour schemes for you to choose from and the rest is down to me, I will choose the best flowers at the time and create your gorgeous flowers. These can then be delivered to a single address or collected from my home studio.
